Who is ABIA:
“The Australian Bridal Industry Academy was founded in 1997 to protect the bridal customer and promote the bridal supplier. To achieve these outcomes ABIA established four operating divisions:

ABIA Archives – ABIA Awards – ABIA Accreditation – ABIA Advertising

The ABIA Archives are essentially a database of information about the 5,000 Australian wedding suppliers we receive feedback about each year. We collect the opinions of approximately 6,000 brides annually, and use it to determine who the best suppliers are in each wedding category. From this we are able to hold the ABIA Awards ceremonies in each state and to recognise those wedding designers who have achieved excellence.

The system of collecting bridal feedback is of the utmost importance to ABIA because as well as the Awards it forms the foundation for the ABIA Accreditation system. This system has been set in place to ensure high quality service amongst bridal suppliers and to provide brides with an easy means of determining who the quality businesses are via the ABIA Accreditation logos. Both the ABIA Awards & Accreditation logos provide the bridal industry with a means of recognizing the highest rated wedding suppliers as determined by brides.

We provide future brides with information on who the highest rated wedding suppliers are in each state via the ABIA Advertising division.”
